  • Telephone – get disconnected
  • Gas + Electricity + Water – arrange final readings
  • Newspapers
Notify change of address to...
  • Post Office + Banks
  • Motor Registration
  • Credit card companies + Subscriptions
  • Doctors – transfer records
  • Schools + Dentist
Other things to do...
  • Change home insurance
  • Dispose of flammables such as paint, turps etc
  • Drain fuel from motor mower
  • Check if washing machine needs bolting down
  • Advise us if you are moving any valuable jewellery, furs or paintings for our mutual protection
Final Check...
  • Carry all valuables + important papers, bank books, cheque books etc with you
  • Leave the vacuum cleaner out for that final clean
Packing Hints
  • Drawers - No need to pack - remove glass & breakables
  • Glass - Wrap small objects, mirror, picture & lamps
  • Fragile - Mark clearly all fragile cartons
  • Marking - Identify where each carton is to be delivered to
  • Use plastic rubbish bags for soft items
Also, please note...
  • Piano's, double door fridges, slate pool tables or unusually heavy items require more than 2 men - please advise at time of booking if you are moving any of these items.
  • Access can be a problem at some properties, Please let us know and we'll check access to the address.
